FOTONA LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Unwanted hair is a problem for many of us. There are many treatments available such as shaving, waxing and depilatory creams but these only provide snort-term solutions and are time consuming. The XLASE LLT laser Machine uses both Nd:YAG Class4 laser and CPL (calibrated Pulsed Light, which is an advancement on the old IPL, to treat many different hair & skin types).
After several treatments the damage to the hair follicle significantly reduces and destroys the hair at the root in a safe and progressive way without any side effects.
Fotona's high-performance Nd:YAG laser systems with FRAC3® technology have introduced new standards of efficiency in providing safe and effective hair reduction – using an innovative system that effectively targets hair follicles with a combination of selective and homogenous photothermolysis.
Safe for All Skin Types
Fotona’s Nd:YAG lasers incorporate revolutionary pulse-control technology and a proprietary three-dimensional treatment pattern (FRAC3®) to provide safe and effective hair reduction. Unlike other wavelengths, only Nd:YAG is safe to use on all skin types. Fotona’s innovative system effectively targets surface treatment areas while leaving surrounding tissues unaffected.
The success of hair reduction treatments depends largely on a patient’s skin and hair type, as well as the skills and treatment insight of the practitioner. Most patients can expect a significant reduction in unwanted hair, and any future hair growth will usually be thinner and lighter, and thus much less pronounced than before.
High-Performance Hair Reduction
Combined with the special high-performance S-11 scanner from Fotona, you can easily treat large areas such as the legs, back and chest quickly and efficiently, making laser treatments one of the most cost-effective solutions for long-term hair reduction. Fotona's high peak-power laser pulses provide the speed and efficiency needed to uniformly cover large scanning areas. Depending on the size of the treatment area, between three to five sessions, six to eight weeks apart will lead to a significant aesthetic and clinical result.

What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is a quick, procedure in which we use powerful laser energy to prevent hair growth. It works by emitting a laser that passes harmlessly through the patient’s skin and into the hair follicle. The targeted hair follicle is then heated and damaged, thereby inhibiting any future hair growth.
What are the risks of laser hair removal?
The most common risks associated with laser hair removal are skin irritation and minor pigment changes. In rare cases, some patients may experience blisters or scarring.
How can I prepare for laser hair removal?
To prepare for laser hair removal, it is recommended that you discontinue waxing or plucking your unwanted hair four to five weeks before your treatment. About 24 hours prior to your treatment, your physician may recommend that you shave the treatment area of all existing hair. By shaving, you’re reducing the amount of discomfort you may feel during the procedure and preventing your hair and skin from being burned by the laser.
What can I expect during laser hair removal?
A laser hair removal treatment is usually very short. It can last anywhere from a few minutes to an hour depending on the target area. Before the procedure begins, your physician may apply an anesthetic cream to your skin, or recommend a mild pain reliever prior to the treatment to reduce any discomfort you may experience.
What is the recovery time for laser hair removal?
A: After the procedure has been completed, your skin may appear red or irritated. Luckily, this lasts only a day or so. It’s also extremely important to avoid the sun or use sunblock for a few weeks after the procedure, and avoid any plucking or waxing of the treatment area.
What can I expect after laser hair removal?
Immediately after the treatment you can apply cold compresses to the area to help alleviate any discomfort. Within a few weeks after the procedure, most patients may notice some new hair growth from the treated hair follicles that were inactive at the time. Because of this, most patients should expect to undergo multiple treatments. The overall results of each treatment rely greatly on an individual’s skin tone, hair type, and growth phase of the hair within the treatment area. Laser hair removal may not prevent hair from growing completely, but after multiple treatments, it can significantly reduce the amount of unwanted growth.
